Prototyping

Prototyping is of much more importance than is normally attributed to it. The goal of the prototype must also first be determined. The following lists some possible requirements:

    To prove the functionality of an electronic circuit.

    To prove a design concept that includes the look and feel of a product.

    To show a working concept to prospective clients.

There can be no compromise on quality and functionality since it forms the bench mark for the future product and must therefore resemble the end product in form and function as close as possible.
